"Centrality indices are answers to the question: What characterizes an important vertex?" (centrality definition). Centrality measures assign a score to each vertex in order to rank them, and evaluate different types of importantness. Here, we are studying betweeness, eigenvector centralities, and the special case of authority score from HITS algorithm.
Given that we find the Smith family as the most important characters for all measures, we will mostly focus on remaining characters.

Betweeness centrality relies on how many times a node is involved in shortest paths between two nodes in network.
The top-5 characters for betweeness centrality, after the Smith Family, are:

How is this result relevant? We find two memory parasites (the node that represents the species, and Sleepy Gary). The Council of Ricks is a political group of Ricks that should link many characters.
Betweeness centrality measures the importance of a node, by considering both the degree and the degree of neighbors.
The top-5 characters for eigenvector centrality, after the Smith Family, are:

How is this result relevant? All those characters are only linked to the Smith family, which makes them important candidates from eigenvector centrality.
Authority estimates the value of the content of a given webpage. It's not a centrality measure, but it's a metric computed through the Hyperlink-Induced Topic Search algorithm (HITS).
The application of HITS algorithm makes sense in our case, since our network refers to references between Wiki web pages.

We computed the assortativity coefficients for the four attributes.
The highest assortative attribute is the Species.
Indeed, relations between most of characters rely on it ; characters from the same species are more likely to be connected. It goes the same way for the Origin.
